How does the Online CE program work and who is eligible to enroll? Online nursing continuing education (CE) courses offered by Sinclair Community College serve a two-fold purpose. First, all courses are designed to provide continuing learning opportunity for any nurse in meeting professional continuing education requirements for license renewal. If this is you, feel free to begin right away. All courses are ready and available for enrollment. Second, the Online CE program is designed to prepare inactive licensed RNs for reentry into clinical practice. Licensed registered nurses who have been inactive and want to return to clinical practice frequently find professional inactivity to be a barrier to re-employment. Sinclair’s Online Nursing CE program offers an alternative learning delivery mechanism that is an efficient and expedient way to update knowledge and clinical competency at an affordable price.

What is the CE authors’ experience? Our faculty authors have extensive academic backgrounds and professional experience. We contract with health care educators and nursing faculty who are well versed in effective learning processes and who demonstrate expertise in varied content specialties. Interested authors are encouraged to access detailed guidelines by clicking on the Call for Authors  tab at the top of the page.

What is the cost of a module?     Module fees are economically set at $15.00/CE credit. In addition, we offer a significant discount to employers who want to pre-pay for employee CE credits. Employers from around the country reward staff with free CE or use this mechanism as a recruitment and retention benefit.
